Pasta dishes have a special way of bringing comfort to the table, and when combined with rich flavors and hearty ingredients, they transform into a culinary experience.
Tortellini Pork and Vegetables With A Garlic Parmesan White Wine Sauce id a sophisticated yet accessible pasta dish that combines Italian elegance with home-cooked comfort.
This recipe brings together tender tortellini, smoky bacon, fresh vegetables, and a luxurious sauce to create a restaurant-quality meal that can be prepared in just 30 minutes.
Building Flavor: The Garlic Parmesan White Wine Sauce
The heart of this dish lies in its sauce, which showcases three key flavor components working in harmony.
1. Garlic, sautéed gently in olive oil, forms an aromatic foundation that awakens the palate.
2. Dry white wine introduces a bright acidity and subtle complexity, cutting through the richness of the cream while adding sophistication.
3. Parmesan cheese is the final crucial element— its nutty, umami-rich character creates depth and body in the sauce.
The combination of cream and Parmesan produces a velvety texture that clings beautifully to each piece of tortellini, creating a cohesive dish where every bite delivers balanced, complementary flavors.
Is Pork Used In Italian Cuisine
In Italy, the preferred choice of meat varies by region. Pork is particularly popular. It is widely consumed in Italy, especially in the form of prosciutto, salami, and other cured meats. It’s a staple in many traditional dishes.
This dish uses a cured meat referenced as pork bacon ends and pieces. Like with this Instant Pot Split Pea and Ham Soup (Made With Bacon Ends).
Using cured smoky bacon ends and pieces in this Tortellini Pork and Vegetables With A Garlic Parmesan White Wine Sauce gives each bite a delicious meaty flavor.

Pork and Vegetables Tortellini with Garlic Parmesan White Wine Sauce succeeds because it respects the fundamental principles of good cooking: quality ingredients, balanced flavors, and proper technique.
The smoky bacon provides depth, the fresh vegetables add brightness, and the creamy sauce ties everything together with elegance.
It’s a dish that feels special enough for entertaining yet simple enough for weeknight dining.

Cook’s Notes
You can use any brand of bacon ends, though we recommend Hempler’s Bacon Ends and Pieces. Hempler’s is a company known for its meats, particularly bacon.
Hempler’s products are made using high-quality pork and crafted with attention to flavor and texture.
Cook tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Place a medium nonstick skillet over medium high heat. Add 1 tablespoon oil. When oil starts to shimmer add diced bacon ends and cook just until crisp, about 5-8 minutes.

Next add the peas and carrots, continue cooking stirring often. Add pasta and sauce, stir in until vegetables, bacon and pasta are well coated.
Remove skillet from heat. Shave Parmesan over pasta and sprinkle with 1-2 teaspoons of fresh dried parsley.
