One Skillet Sweet & Spicy Chicken Thighs

5-6 chicken thighs, boneless, skinless

1 tablespoon butter

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 garlic cloves, sliced horizontally

¼ cup chicken stock

2-3 sprigs fresh rosemary

Spice Rub

2 tablespoon brown sugar

1 teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon smoked paprika

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

¼ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon salt

In a small bowl mix all spice rub ingredients. Set aside.

Pat dry chicken thighs with a paper towel. Sprinkle the spice rub seasoning generously over both sides.

Place a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and butter. Allow butter to melt and oil to shimmer a bite.

Add garlic cloves and sauté until light golden in color.

Place chicken thighs flat side facing down. Cook until meat crispy and golden, about 5 minutes.

Flip the thighs over and continue cooking another 2 minutes.

Slowly pour chicken stock into the side skillet from the side. Scrap the bottom of the pan with a wood spoon to release any brown caramelized bits. Add rosemary sprigs to liquid.

Increase heat to high. Place a lid over skillet and continue cooking for 3 minutes. Remove from heat and serve.
