Building Flavor: The Garlic Parmesan White Wine Sauce
The heart of this dish lies in its sauce, where a handful of simple ingredients work together to create remarkable depth of flavor.
First, garlic is gently sautéed in butter, creating an aromatic foundation that infuses the sauce with warmth and savory character.
Next, dry white wine contributes brightness and subtle complexity. As it simmers, the wine helps deglaze the pan while adding a delicate acidity that balances the richness of the cream.

Pork: A Cornerstone of Italian Cuisine
In Italy, the preferred choice of meat varies by region, but pork is especially popular and widely used.
It appears in many traditional dishes and is perhaps best known through prosciutto, salami, pancetta, and other cured specialties.
These cured pork products have long been valued for their ability to add rich flavor, depth, and savoriness to both simple and elaborate meals.
In this recipe, smoky bacon ends and pieces serve a similar purpose, providing a delicious foundation that complements the cheese-filled tortellini, vegetables, and creamy garlic Parmesan white wine sauce.
