First though, let’s answer a few questions about Raspberry Hot Honey.

What Does Raspberry Hot Honey Taste Like?
Raspberry hot honey offers a unique flavor experience. The sweetness of the honey is balanced by the tangy freshness of the raspberries, while the heat from the red pepper flakes adds an exciting kick.
This blend creates a complex flavor profile that is both sweet and spicy, making it a versatile addition to many recipes.
Does Raspberry Honey Go Bad?
While honey itself has a long shelf life due to its natural preservatives, raspberry hot honey may not last indefinitely.
The addition of fruit can introduce moisture, which may lead to fermentation or spoilage.
It’s best to store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator and use it within 1 to 3 weeks.
Raspberry Hot Honey Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup honey
½ cup fresh raspberries (or raspberry jam * See Cooks Notes)
1-2 teaspoons red pepper flakes (adjust to taste) – we used Aleppo pepper *See Cooks Notes
Cooks Notes
Raspberry Jam
If you want a richer, jam-like consistency, consider using raspberry jam instead of fresh raspberries. Just combine the jam, honey and red pepper flakes and heat until it simmers.
Red Pepper Flakes Or Aleppo Pepper
If you prefer a spicier raspberry hot honey, use the red pepper flakes and adjust accordingly to your preference.
For a milder heat, use Aleppo pepper. Its heat is mellow. Read more HERE about Aleppo Pepper.
Recipe Instructions
In a small saucepan, over low heat, combine the honey and raspberries (or raspberry jam). Next, add the red pepper flakes or Aleppo pepper, if using.
Stir gently until the mixture reaches a simmer. Allow it to simmer for about 5-10 minutes, adjusting the heat as needed.
Remove from heat, let cool slightly, and strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove the solids (raspberry seeds, bites of chili flakes)
Store in a clean jar with a tight lid and enjoy.
