Baked Garlic and Broccoli

Roasted vegetables make for an easy dinner side dish and this Roasted Garlic and Broccoli is no exception.

Broccoli is a favorite among the many choices of cruciferous vegetables, like cauliflower, Brussels sprouts or spinach to name a few.

Roasting broccoli and garlic in the oven with some olive oil deepens their natural flavors creating a sweet, nutty flavored aroma.

This Roasted Garlic and Broccoli will become one of your favorite side dishes, not only because it’s an easy side dish to make but because of how delicious it is.

Roasted Garlic and Broccoli

This recipe makes two (2) servings. Double it to serve four (4) servings or triple it to serve six (6).

Ingredients for - Baked Garlic Broccoli

1 cup broccoli florets

6-8 garlic cloves

2 tbsp. olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.


Tenderizing the Broccoli

Marinate the broccoli florets for 30 minutes with the olive oil and salt, so that they become tender.


Garlic and Broccoli on a baking sheet

Spread evenly the broccoli florets and garlic cloves onto a baking sheet.

Place the baking sheet in the oven, and roast for 10 minutes. Toss the broccoli and garlic, continue roasting another 10-15 minutes or until broccoli browns a little but not burnt.


Baked Garlic and Broccoli

Remove from oven and spoon roasted vegetables into a serving bowl. Serve with your favorite protein.

If you wish you can add other vegetables to the baking sheet, like carrots or zucchini.
