Harvest Grain Bowl with Dried Cranberries, Pecans and Goat Cheese

A Harvest Grain Bowl with a savory blend of Israeli-style couscous, orzo, split baby garbanzo beans, and red quinoa.


Add to the savoriness by cooking them in chicken broth (or stock) and adding dried cranberries, for sweetness, chopped pecans for that extra nutty crunch and round all that out with a bite of tangy goat cheese.

Harvest Grain Bowl with Dried Cranberries, Pecans and Goat Cheese

8 ounces Trader Joe’s Harvest Grains blend

1 3/4 cups chicken broth

1 tablespoon butter

1 cup dried cranberries

3/4 cup pecans, chopped

4 ounces goat cheese, crumbled

1/8 cup curly parsley, chopped (can sub for mint)

Prepare grains according to package instructions using chicken broth or water. Once soft, drain if necessary and transfer to a large bowl.

Add cranberries, pecans, and toss to combine with grains.



When ready to serve top with goat cheese and chopped parsley. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

    Love the different flavors in this bowl.
    I often shop at Trader Joe’s but am not familiar with their Harvest Grains blend. It seems such a good mix. I’ll look for it next time. Thanks for introducing! 🙂

      Hope you are able to find the package of grains. It is 16 oz. package for 4.99 I believe. Be aware though, for some reason on Amazon the same package is 14.99 and Walmart sells 3 packages for 33.00 or 11.00 a package.
