One Skillet Savory Apple Butter Pork Chops

One Skillet Apple Butter Pork Chops

Pork chops seasoned with Himalayan salt and black pepper, then slow braised in butter.

Allowed to rest, then returned to the same skillet to finish cooking in flavors that pair well with pork.

Sliced red apples and a flavorful sauce of apple butter, real maple syrup and Dijon mustard.

What Apple To Use

Some are better than others. For example, Granny Smith apples are tart and acidic, which can help to cut through the richness of pork chops.

Other good options include Honeycrisp, Golden Delicious, Gala and Braeburn apples.

Whatever type of apple you use, make sure it is ripe but not too soft, as this will make it difficult to cook evenly.
