Garlic Shallot And Miso Butter Bread
6 slices of sourdough bread
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
2 tablespoons white miso paste
2 shallots, finely chopped
4 cloves of garlic, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a small pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
Add the shallots and garlic, sautéing them gently until they become soft and golden brown. This should take about 3-4 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
In a bowl, combine the softened butter and miso paste until smooth and well-blended.
Add the sautéed shallots and garlic to the butter mixture. Stir in the chopped parsley, if using, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Spread a generous amount of the miso butter mixture on each slice of sourdough bread. Arrange the slices on a baking sheet.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes or until the edges are crispy and the butter has melted into the bread.
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
